The Chanticleer Garden is located 19 miles northwest of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This place was once a historic estate and features a national historical landmark. The garden outside the Chanticleer estate has been open to the public since 1993 and it is open seasonally from April to October. They offer guided 45-minute tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays to help guests learn the history of the garden. You may also take the House and Garden Tour if you want to see the first floor of the Chanticleer house. This special tour is offered only on Fridays and Saturdays at 11 am.
Parking is free and guests are welcome to bring their own food and drink to the picnic areas in the garden. If you're heading to Philadelphia, you should see why Garden Design magazine has dubbed Chanticleer Garden as "America's most inspiring garden."
