40 miles of hiking trails, three state park naural areas (Hawk Falls and boulder Field) and miles of trout streams
Hickory Run State Park is a large 15,990 acre state park in the western foothills of the Pocono Mountains. The park has three state park natural areas, which include 25 foot Hawk Falls and boulder Field, a must see and the largest of its kind in the Appalachian region. There are over 40 miles of beautiful hiking trails and several miles of trout streams, excellent for fishing wild trout. This park was listed by the DCNR (Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as one of the "25 must see Pennsylvania State Parks".
There is lots of options for camping, including trailers and cottages. The lake is a wonderful place to swim during the summer with sandy beaches and picnic tables. A very beautiful park to visit anytime of the year.
