See over 30 historic aircraft in Dover, Delaware.
The Air Mobility Command Museum is located next to the Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. It has over 30 aircraft, some of which have been used in the U.S. Air Force. Exhibits at the museum include airlift operations during the Vietnam and Korean Wars, plus insight into Berlin airlift operations during the WWll era. Guests can take guided tours of the museum to learn a little bit about each aircraft and even get to explore the inside of some of the planes. When the weather permits, you can also take a self-guided tour of two of the outside aircraft, the C-141B Stairlifter, and C-130 Hercules.
This museum has free admission and free parking for all guests. It is open Wednesday through Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm. Guided tours are available and they ask that groups of 10 or more people be booked in advance. If you're interested in military history, stop by the Air Mobility Command Museum the next time you're in Delaware.
