Wailua Falls

This 80-foot waterfall is one of the most treasured on the island of Maui.

Wailua Falls can be found on the island of Maui along the Hana Highway, and it is surely a marvelous sight. This waterfall is surrounded by dense jungle terrain and flows from about 80 feet up into a glistening blue-green pool down below. The falls can be seen well from the side of the road, but you can get a more up close and personal view of it via a quick downhill trail that brings you right up to this truly magnificent natural wonder. This can be the perfect opportunity for you to cool off from the Hawaiian heat in the refreshing pool, too.

You definitely do not want to forget your camera if you pay a visit to Wailua Falls – it’s even often said that this is the most photogenic waterfall on the entire island of Maui. There’s a parking lot at the overlook for the falls which offers ample spaces, which certainly makes a visit here much less stressful if there are other visitors, too. The islands that make up Hawaii have plenty of waterfalls to see and explore, but Wailua Falls is certainly one that you don’t want to miss out on.
