These expansive gardens contain hundreds of species of native Hawaiian plant life as well as beautiful exotic species.
If you want to get lost in a lush, vibrant, and tropical paradise in Maui, look no further than the Garden of Eden Arboretum. The arboretum opened in 1996, and it is open year-round from 8-4. The primary mission of the Garden of Eden Arboretum is to preserve and restore native plant species and ecosystems, but visitors also have the chance to see hundreds of other exotic plant life. There is a 100-year-old mango tree located here, and some plants were even donated by none other than George Harrison himself!
The Garden of Eden Arboretum is a highly valued sanctuary among both visitors and locals – the name of this park even came about from the locals, because everyone kept saying that this garden felt as if it could be the present-day Garden of Eden. The establishment is very focused on maintaining a peaceful, relaxing, yet educational space for everyone that arrives here. There are 26 acres of trails throughout the grounds that offer extraordinary ocean views and opportunities for photos, and there is also an art gallery located on the property, as well. The entrance fee into the park is $20 for those 16 and up, $10 for those 5-16, and kids under 5 are free.
