Spend a day exploring science, art, and history at this massive museum for the whole family.
If history, art, and technology pique your interest, don’t miss out on a chance to visit The Works Museum in Newark, Ohio. There’s something for every age range at The Works and always something new to experience and learn about. The museum was created with the mission to preserve the rich history and heritage of Central Ohio and has only grown in size and offerings over the years. Kids have the chance to build, invent, and create at The Works while adults can participate in glassblowing demonstration or marvel at the beautiful pieces in the art gallery.
Some of the exhibits at The Works include Light and Color, the Go Lab, the Zap Lab, the Invent Lab, the Interurban Railway Car, and of course the spectacular SciDome, which offers regular showings of programs all about outer space. The glassblowing experience is truly amazing and something to not pass up; in this section of the museum, participants can make their own glass with the help of a professional glass artist or watch masters of this craft during live demonstrations at certain times during the week. One is never too young or old to explore the worlds of science, art, and history, which makes The Works so very special. A trip here is a great way to get out with the family or with the goal to learn something new with your best friends. Get inspired, play, and open your mind with a day spent at The Works!
