Explore Kansas City's largest park.
Swope Park is home to the Kansas City Zoo, GoApe Zipline Park, a golf course, community gardens, a nature center, an outdoor pool, picnic shelters, an outdoor theater, and hiking trails. This vast park encompasses over 1,800 acres and is the city's crown jewel. It is the place to enjoy family-friendly fun all day long. Guests can choose from eight reservable picnic shelters so you can enjoy your own space during a large gathering. Depending on the size of the shelter, they can seat between 30 and 200 people. If you're traveling with a dog, Swope Park also has an off-leash five-acre dog park located at 5051 E. Gregory Boulevard.
This park is open daily from 5 am to midnight, but individual attractions inside the park have different hours of operation. Anyone needing a spacious outdoor area can find it at Swope Park. Be sure to stop by the next time you're driving through western Missouri.
