Explore this stunning historic home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
The Bachman-Wilson House is located off I-49 in northwestern Arkansas. This is a historic home designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright and features his classic Usonian architecture, complete with a mid-century design. Usonian architecture is an abbreviation of "United States of North America," and Wright came up with this term to describe the American residential architecture he designed, which is suitable for even middle-class Americans. The Bachman-Wilson House was originally built in 1956 in New Jersey, but since its location was prone to flooding, it was relocated to ensure the building would be preserved.
Visitors can choose from either a free self-guided tour or guided tours to take in the beauty of this incredible place. Please note that photography inside the home is not allowed, but you can take pictures of the outside and the grounds of the Bachman-Wilson House. This attraction is open Monday, and Wednesday from 11 am to 6 pm, Thursday and Friday from 11 am to 8 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. The trail and grounds surrounding the home are open daily from sunrise to sunset. If you're driving through northern Arkansas, don't hesitate to tour the Bachman-Wilson House.
