Enjoy the great outdoors in southwestern Missouri.
Roaring River State Park is one of three state parks stocked with rainbow trout each night and one of Missouri's most popular state parks. Visitors often feed the fish in the spring pool and tour the trout hatchery. Many anglers make their way to this park to try and catch the perfect trout. The park has seven trails where you can go hiking and biking. At the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center, you can read interpretive displays or participate in programs to learn about the park's natural history.
Roaring River State Park has 187 campsites ranging from basic to those with electric hookups. There are showers, running water, a laundry facility, and a dump station. Campers may also enjoy sleeping at one of their 26 secluded, rustic cabins, each of which is equipped with kitchens. Another option is booking a room at the Emory Melton Inn and Conference Center, which has 26 guest rooms, a restaurant, a gift shop, and meeting rooms. Emory Melton Inn is a spacious and elegant lodge with rooms decorated with a rustic flair and several rooms that feature a private balcony and views of the river valley below.
