The Shoal Creek Living History Museum is located off I-435 in Kansas City, Missouri. It features 21 historical structures, including 17 authentic 19th-century buildings. Self-guided tours of this attraction are welcome, and they have walking tour brochures at the front entrance information box. Other tours are available by appointment only and can be booked by emailing ShoalCreekLivingHistoryMuseum@gmail.com.
The grounds of this living history museum are open daily from dawn to dusk. There are large shade trees throughout the area, providing ideal spots to enjoy a picnic. It is free to enter the grounds except during special events. Special event days are what really bring this place to life. They have several people that provide demonstrations and reenactments for all visitors.
