Storybook Land

This cute park is inspired by nursery rhymes including Old MacDonald's Barn with chickens and turkeys roaming around.

People travel from all over the Midwest and beyond to visit Storybook Land. Many of the things inside of the park are free to do. It features several themed playgrounds with slides and swings throughout the park. A fun train ride takes visitors on a ride around the park. The grounds and walkways are beautifully maintained, with displays from many classic stories and nursery rhymes. They also have an area all about The Wizard of Oz. Visitors can walk on the yellow brick road, slide down the large tin man's (leg) slides and experience a simulated tornado experience with special lighting and sound effects in the Land Of Oz.

The center of the park has a large castle surrounded by a moat. Knights in armor guard it, but you can walk through the castle. The rides are very reasonably priced. Old MacDonald's Barn has animals and a petting zoo. There is also a mini-golf course, swimming area, Wizard's Balloon ride, and a carousel. It is such a cute park that is great for younger children. Entry to the park and on-site parking is free, making it a budget-friendly attraction for families.
