This state park makes a great place to visit all year, but visitors really love heading here in the summer to cool off in the refreshing pond.
Squantz Pond State Park, located in New Fairfield, Connecticut, is a great spot to head during those warm New England summer months to cool off, relax, and have some fun in the sun with family and friends. Squantz Pond acts as a wonderful getaway with the rolling hills and shimmering blue water. There’s never a bad season to spend time at Squantz Pond State Park because in the spring and autumn you’ll have the chance to see how the park lights up in vivid color as the foliage changes and blooms. Few things are more beautiful than seeing the leaves change when fall arrives northeast, making this park a favorite spot for photographers looking to capture the stunning hues.
Visitors can enjoy an array of outdoor activities while at Squantz Pond, such as swimming, fishing, kayaking, picnicking, and hiking. The parking lot is only able to fit 250 vehicles, so be sure to get here bright and early – especially during the summer!
