The first 1,552 acres of the park were gifted to the town back in 1918 from the White Memorial Foundation. Other activities at the park include fishing in the streams, picnicking, and of course, hiking. You certainly won’t want to forget your camera while exploring this park, especially if you’ll be partaking in any of the four marked trails that wind through the grounds. It’s also important to note that leashed pets are allowed in the picnic areas and hiking trails, but not on the campground.
