Sand Hollow State Park

Hit the dunes and cool off in the reservoir at this southern Utah state park.

Sand Hollow State Park is 15 minutes east of St. George, just off exit 16. Take exit 16 into Highway 9, travel east for 4 miles, then drive onto Sand Hollow Road. Sand Hollow features over 15,000 acres of sand dunes and 1,322 acres of water. This park is open from 6 am to 10 pm during the summer and 7 am to 9 pm during the winter. Sand Hollow offers a variety of vacation rentals, large suites, rental homes, and more. The striking scenery of the vibrant sand dunes and rock formations against the bright blue sky will leave you speechless. 

Sand Hollow is a popular outdoor destination for both locals and tourists. This outdoor attraction has a prime area for driving off-road vehicles, water sports, golfing, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, swimming, and more. If you don't have a boat or ATV, head to The B.A.S.H. (the Beach at Sand Hollow). You can rent boats, ATVs, paddleboards, kayaks, and trailers through them. Those who stay at the Sand Hollow Vacation homes can also receive discounts on activity rentals.
