Tour this 20th century plantation in southern Georgia.
Pebble Hill Plantation is located in southwestern Georgia, just north of Tallahassee, Florida. It features a three-story white-washed brick house, carriage room and stable, pump house, dog hospital, overflow cottage, gardens, and log cabin schoolhouse. The main house has a full basement, a library, drawing room, 16 bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, 24 fireplaces, a large Palladian window, and more. Sadly, most of the original home was destroyed in a fire in 1934, but the current home was rebuilt with a Neoclassical architectural style.
Visitors are welcome to tour the plantation Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. The grounds are also open on Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm. Please note that children must be at least six years old to tour through the main house. Tickets to tour the main home and the grounds of the plantation are $16 for adults and $6.50 for children. Leashed pets are allowed on the grounds but not inside the house. There is a picnic area outside if you want to enjoy a light meal before or after your tour.
