Stately Oaks is located south of Atlanta, Georgia, off U.S. Highway 41. This historic antebellum era home features Greek Revival architecture and is listed on the national register of historic places. Stately Oaks is often referred to as the home of Gone with the Wind. In addition to the main attraction, this place features the original 1839 cookhouse, the old Bethel school, Judd's Country Store, and other buildings depicting this historic community.
The grounds are open from 11 am to 4 pm, and house tours begin on the hour from 11 am to 3 pm. You can choose from a self-guided grounds tour, house and grounds tour, or a guided tour that includes the price of a lunch or dinner. Tickets start at $5 per person for the grounds tour, and admission is free for children ages 0 to 5.
