Come here to do some people-watching and shopping in downtown Boulder.
Pearl Street was the first street to be paved in Boulder. In 1917, the town made it easier for pedestrians by adding 15-foot concrete sidewalks on both sides of the street. Pearl Street Mall has been open since 1977 and features dozens of shops and restaurants for visitors. There are several Indian, Italian, and Mexican restaurants, plus bistros, pubs, and brunch places to choose from, making it easy for anyone to find a place to eat here. Stop in at the art galleries and gift shops to purchase souvenirs. You may also want to stop by the Downtown Visitor Information Center to help familiarize yourself with the area.
There are music festivals and other events held at the mall annually. If you're visiting during the winter holiday season, they often light up the street to help you feel like you're in a winter wonderland. If you love shopping, Pearl Street Mall is the place to go in Boulder, Colorado.
