Mueller State Park is located in central Colorado in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It has several hiking trails spanning a total of 50 miles. School Pond is a scenic 1.6-mile trail that is ideal for observing wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for elk, black bears, hawks, and mule deer while exploring this and other trails. This is a great place for a camping getaway and visitors can choose from over 130 different sites. There are also various cabins available if you prefer. Visitors often enjoy cross-country skiing and sledding here in the winter.
Park hours are 5 am to 10 pm daily, and the visitor center is open every day from 9 am to 4 pm. Mueller State Park is open year-round but is especially fun to visit during the fall once the leaves have changed color.
