Cave of the Winds Mountain Park

Have a caving adventure at Colorado's Cave of the Winds.

Cave of the Winds Mountain Park is located off of state highway 24, just west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. This cave was discovered in the late 1800s by George and John Pickett. Guests can choose from either the discovery or haunted lantern tours to experience the cave. The Discovery Tour is family-friendly and is a guided walking tour that takes about 45-minutes to an hour to complete. If you want a spooky experience, take the Haunted Lantern Tour. This guided walking tour is about a mile long and lasts 90 minutes.

Consider bringing a light jacket with you; the cave is about 54 degrees regardless of the season. Cameras and camcorders are allowed inside the cave, so feel free to record your experience. There are other outdoor attractions you can do at the park too. Choose from the climbing wall, three-story obstacle course, or bat-a-pult aerial ride to get a bird's eye view of this mountain park.
