Explore this beautiful 162-acre nature preserve during your visit to Corpus Christi.
There are many paved trails to help you explore a variety of habitats around the wetlands when you come. Keep your eyes peeled for a possible armadillo, bunnies, or even a snake slithering nearby. The Oso Bay wetlands feature lots of different birds as well. The trails have benches placed along the way and are dog-friendly. Look for the old railroad bridge as you explore the wetlands; this part of the preserve has a fantastic view that is perfect for taking photos. Everyone can enjoy the 2 miles of nature viewing trails. Stop and read some of the plaques to learn about the area and its native wildlife.
If you want to stay for several hours, you are welcome to have a picnic or stop by the learning center for hands-on activities for the kids. The learning center has a fun outdoor play area with soft cushioning beneath it. They have a trading post, restrooms, and drinking fountains at the learning center for your convenience. The large parking lot features spots long enough for a bus or RV to park. Enjoy the beauty of the gulf coast at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve.
