Discover one of the largest limestone caverns in the western U.S.
Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park features one of the largest limestone caverns in the western United States. They offer guided tours annually from May to September so visitors can see inside the beautiful limestone caves. Candlelight lanterns light the way for these tours so visitors can get a sense of what Lewis and Clark experienced while exploring these caverns. You can learn more about the stalagmites, columns, stalactites, and more by asking the tour guides during your visit.
Anyone who goes on a tour will gain a deeper appreciation for the unique nature of these caverns. Outside, there are hiking trails and camping sites available. They are also equipped with facilities and have RV parking spots. Feel free to reserve a camping site to extend your stay and learn more about the Lewis and Clark Caverns. This state park is located about 1.5 hours south of Helena, Montana off Interstate 90.
