Take a picture next to the world’s largest T-Rex skull.
The Museum of the Rockies is a must-see attraction in Bozeman, Montana. It is part of the Smithsonian Institution and has so much to see and learn about. In the museum, there is a planetarium and fabulous displays of dinosaurs and dinosaur eggs. Part of the collection found here includes a variety of skeletons and replicas of different dinosaur species.
This museum has the largest dinosaur collection in the United States, featuring the world’s largest Tyrannosaurus skull, a thighbone of a T-Rex that still has soft tissue in it, and the skeleton of the T-Rex called “Big Mike.” They have rotating exhibits dedicated to the Yellowstone region's history, such as the history of the native people, pioneer and Western art, and Tinsley House, one of the original log homes built here during the 1800s.
If you have an interest in dinosaurs or history, come and visit this awesome museum. It is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
