The C.M. Russell Museum is dedicated to cowboy artist Charles M. Russell. This holds a large collection of original Russell paintings displayed for visitors to see. You will also find a collection of documents and artifacts from this artist’s career. A lot of the work that is shown expresses the history and culture of the state of Montana.
Visitors can explore the original Russell House and Studio, which is now considered a national historic landmark. There is also the Russell Riders Sculpture Garden, which has wildlife statues of creatures native to the Great Falls region.
The museum is open Thursday through Monday from 10 am to 5 pm. It is closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day through New Year’s Day.
