Nevada City is an old mining town that was booming during the Gold Rush in the 1860s. This is a neighboring mining town to Virginia City and is a restored ghost town that has welcomed visitors since the 1940s. There are many original buildings that have been restored that portray the homestead of the first settlers who lived here. Visitors have the opportunity to rent some of these little cabins and enjoy the old West culture this mining town has to offer.
