Experience this beautiful turquoise reservoir in the North Cascades mountains.
Located off of Highway 20, Lake Diablo was created by the Diablo dam. Come and stay at one of the campsites, such as the Thunderpoint or Colonial Creek Campground. Gorge Lake Campground is the most popular one that has 8 camping spots right next to the lake. You will have to book it in advance because reservations fill up very quickly. There are no RV hookups available at Gorge Lake; it is ideal for tents and camping cars. This is a great spot to host a family reunion or enjoy a weekend getaway with friends.
Enjoy a summer vacation swimming, fishing, or boating on the lake, and feel free to hike up the mountains or explore the various trails nearby. There are about 4 miles worth of hiking trails (one-way) around the lake. If you can, bring a camera with you to capture the beauty of this Washington lake. Any outdoor enthusiast will enjoy this incredible lake while visiting this remote area.
