One of the most celebrated Japanese gardens outside of Japan
The Seattle Japanese Garden at Washington Park Arboretum is one of the most celebrated Japanese gardens outside of Japan. It provides wonderful paths on which to wander through the formal garden and an informal, naturalistic woodland. The garden features a lake, wooden zigzag bridge, and stone peninsula. The fall leaf colors are outstanding and looking for turtles in the little lake is a fun activity for kids. The visit can be combined with a walk through the Washington Park Arboretum and University of Washington Botanic Gardens. Entrance charge for the Japanese Garden.
