Explore this outdoor refuge in the heart of Bellevue, Washington.
Open since 1992, Bellevue Botanical Garden features 53 acres of cultivated display gardens, natural wetlands, and a woodland trail. Points of interest include the ravine nature trail, rhododendron glen, rock garden, fuchsia garden, and the urban meadow. Perrenial plants you may see include yarrow, Japanese cedar, gladiolus, daylily, daffodil, and primrose. Each display has plants that are best utilized in gardens within the northwestern U.S. To keep kids entertained, you can do their scavenger hunt challenge during your visit.
This botanical garden is open daily from dawn to dusk, and general admission is free for all guests. The visitor center is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm, and the Trillium Store and the Copper Kettle Coffee Bar are open seasonally. If you want to bring a light meal, you are welcome to sit and eat at the picnic tables near the main entrance or the shorts house patio. Bellevue Botanical Garden is close to Wilburton Hill Park, featuring even more picnic tables, trails, and a playground to help kids get their energy out.
