No matter the season, Mount Baker has something for you to enjoy.
You will be impressed with all the activities this mountain offers you no matter what time of year you come and visit. Mount Baker has a ski resort, so feel free to hit the slopes in the winter. Cross country skiing is also available here. Mount Baker has campgrounds nearby, including the Silver Fir Campground. There are 21 different campsites, 15 of which are reservable and cost $16 a night. There is running water and toilets on site, plus a picnic shelter on the grounds.
There are several amazing hiking trails to explore in the summer, such as Artist Point. That hike leads you all the way around the mountain, where you can see all the peaks. A challenging hike is called Chain Lakes Loop Trail, which is 8-miles long and has a 1700 foot elevation gain. Don’t forget to explore the awe-inspiring Nooksack Waterfall. Local restaurants nearby include Chair 9, which offers specialty pizzas and endless flavor combinations. You may also enjoy the Wake N’ Bakery for a caffeine fix. Mount Baker is a great spot for any outdoor enthusiast and offers fun for the whole family.
