Hike to the most frequented waterfall in Washington.
One of Washington State's most popular scenic places is Snoqualmie Falls. A two-acre park surrounds this 270-foot waterfall. Guests can view the falls from the observation deck or hike down the half-mile trail to the base of the falls. This is by far the most famous waterfall in Washington, with over 1.5 million visitors annually, which is more than almost any other single natural feature in the state. The falls appear more like a curtain after a long rainstorm, and Snoqualmie Falls also lights up at night, making it a picturesque place to see any time of day.
Parking is free, and the observation decks and trails are open daily from dawn to dusk. The Salish Lodge and Spa are steps away from the falls if you want an extended stay. Many of the rooms have a direct view of the falls. Head to the Dining Room for a special dinner, or eat at The Attic for a casual dining experience next to Snoqualmie Falls.
