Visit one of Asheville, North Carolina’s hidden gems.
This shopping center has a charming atmosphere and was the heart of Asheville's woodwork and textile industries back in the day. When you come to Grovewood Village, you will see various handcrafted art pieces from local artists, a vintage automobile museum, and more. There are a number of art galleries that sell things such as necklaces, sculptures, ornaments, pull toys, end tables, mugs, and decorative pieces, so don’t hesitate to take a look.
If you want to take a historic tour to learn about the Biltmore Industries and take a look inside the dye house, check out their website for more information. These guided tours are free, but they appreciate all donations. Groups of 10 or more will require a fee to take everyone on the historical tour. There is free parking on-site and free admission to the village. Come and see why Asheville has been named the arts and crafts capital of the South.
