Greenville, South Carolina is a beautiful city that offers a lot of things to do. The Greenville Zoo is undoubtedly one of the best places to visit when you are in town. The zoo is a great place to get up close and personal with hundreds of animals from all over the world - from lions to alligators, there's something for everyone.
This zoo has been around since 1960 and is open year-round (aside from major holidays). It has over 300 animals that call it home, including giraffes, monkeys, and so many more! If you have small children or if you just want some peace and quiet, then definitely pay a visit to the reptile building for an up-close look at these fascinating species. You will find snakes, turtles, and other reptiles here that can be viewed at your leisure. There are even opportunities to adopt an animal and provide donations for it, and your certificate and plush toy can serve as an awesome and unique keepsake after your special visit here! The zoo is open from 9 to 5 from March through October and 10 to 5 from November until March.
