The Hickory Knob State Park is situated on the Savannah River near the South Carolina/Georgia state border. This state park doubles as a golf resort, featuring a challenging 18-hole golf course, on-site restaurant, archery range, ax throwing, and skeet shooting range. Feel free to extend your stay in one of their 16 cozy cabins. Each cabin holds up to six people, and the group site can accommodate up to ten people. The campground has 44 campsites and is located at the Strom Thurmond Reservoir.
Outdoor recreation such as boating, hiking, and mountain biking are popular here. They offer rental paddleboards, canoes, and kayaks daily between 8 AM and 8 PM. If you love fishing, expect to catch bass, crappie, perch, and various stripers in the reservoir.
