Eagle Point Nature Preserve

Come and see bald eagles and enjoy a moment of solitude here.

Open since 2001; this nature preserve features hundreds of acres of land full of various flora and fauna. There are a few different walkable loop trails, one of which leads to High Rock Lake. Bring a canoe with you to enjoy spending time on the lake during the day.

This is a great area for nature lovers, especially those who enjoy bird watching. You may see notable birds include bald eagles, barred owls, great blue herons, wild turkeys, and others. There are picnic tables near the parking lot, which gives you a perfect location to enjoy eating in the great outdoors. The nature preserve is only open Friday through Sunday. The hours are from 9 am to 6 pm April through October, and 9 am to 5 pm November through March.
