Walk a nature trail and do some bird watching in Northeastern Charlotte.
Located West of Interstate 485 in Charlotte, North Carolina, visitors can come and drive through the Nature Preserve and observe the birds and other wildlife here. You are also welcome to walk around the several miles of trails or play disc golf, volleyball or enjoy the playgrounds within Reedy Creek Park. Mountain biking is also allowed, provided bikers remain on the paved roads or gravel trails. If you enjoy fishing, bring your gear and head to either Dragonfly or Slider Pond and soak in the wonderful sights and sounds of the area.
Along with bird watching, you can stop by the nature center to experience a hands-on workshop or environmental program that teaches you about how to preserve the natural habitats of local wildlife and plants. This is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts and will allow you to spend plenty of time getting your energy out during a road trip.
