Explore the second-longest commercial cave in the eastern U.S.
The Organ Cave is located in southeastern West Virginia near the Greenbrier State Forest. This is also the site where the first prehistoric three-toed sloth was discovered. Organ Cave has 45 miles of mapped passageways, and over 200 leads yet to be mapped out. No matter your age, taking a tour of the Organ Cave will be an unforgettable experience.
Guided tours of Organ Cave are available year-round, but tours are offered by reservation only in the off-season (November to April). During the tour, you will learn about the role of this cave system during the American Civil War. You can also go spelunking to see more of the cave by booking an exploring expedition tour. Tour discounts are available for families with 5 or more people, military members with an ID, and large groups. If you love the outdoors and want to see a neat underground cave, add Organ Cave to your West Virginia itinerary.
