Explore three different waterfalls in West Virginia.
Falls of Hills Creek features the highest waterfall in West Virginia and is located in the Creek Scenic Area. Hikers can explore three different waterfalls in the area, which vary in height, 25, 45, and 65 feet, respectively. Follow the 3/4 mile trail and admire the fantastic views of all of these waterfalls from the viewing decks. The first part of the path is paved and is wheelchair accessible, but the rest of the trail is more difficult and has stairways and boardwalks leading to the lower falls. There are 382 steps to get to the lower falls, and most visitors need at least an hour (round trip) to get the whole experience.
Visitors can enjoy over 40 wildflower species in the springtime, offering picturesque scenery. Winter also provides some stunning photo opportunities when the water is frozen. If you're visiting Greenbrier in eastern West Virginia, don't hesitate to take a day trip to the Falls of Hills Creek before you leave.
