Coopers Rock State Forest has amazing overlooks, historical sites, and picnic areas, plus 50 miles of hiking and biking trails. The Rhododendron Campground is named after the State's official flower, and it features 25 primitive campsites (ideal for tent or hammock campers), each with its own picnic table and fire pit. This camp area has a central bathroom with flushing toilets and running water for campground guests. Coopers Rock State Forest also has hike-in Tentrr campsites deep into the forest. These come with a pre-set canvas tent on a wooden deck platform. Each tent has a queen-size mattress, tables, a propane tent heater, a picnic table, a fire pit, a grill, and a solar shower.
