A massive state park in southwestern Pennsylvania, enjoy white water rafting, hiking, and views of waterfalls here.
Ohiopyle State Park happens to be Pennsylvania’s largest state park! Make sure to stop by Ohiopyle if you are seeking thrilling adventure and unbelievable sights. Nestled on the rushing Youghiogheny River, grab your most exciting friends and try out white water rafting down the swift white water. If you are visiting with younger kids, don’t worry. There are portions of the river that are much less intense and perfect for enjoying a family raft trip in.
If you would rather adventure around on land, check out the Great Allegheny Passage, which is a 150-mile-long trail that spans from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. You will have lovely views of the Youghiogheny River and the rolling mountains around it. Ohiopyle has many miles of backcountry hiking available to those interested, as well. You will not want to miss the various waterfalls throughout this state park, either. Cucumber Falls and Ohiopyle Falls are two unbelievably stunning falls within the grounds of the park, and you can even climb down and get behind Cucumber Falls and cool off in the refreshing pool. Ohiopyle State Park is full of exciting outdoor experiences.
