Enjoy your time at this family-friendly amusement park featuring unique rides and fantastic food.
Dollywood is open from late March to early January annually. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 am - 7 pm. Dollywood is a family fun theme park named after and owned by singer/songwriter Dolly Parton. The Smoky Mountains surround the amusement park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The park is always busy and very popular, with over 3 million visitors who come throughout the year. There are great places to stay nearby, but you might want to check out Dollywood's Dream more Resort & Spa or Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Cabins if you're visiting from another state.
While at the park, you will find over 40 rides, including Mystery Mine, Blazing Fury, Barnstormer, Daredevil Falls, and more. On occasion, they add new or improved rides to keep the park up to date. The food offered at Dollywood is yummy, so come hungry. Dining options include the Front Porch Restaurant, Cross Roads Funnel Cake, and Miss Lillian's BBQ Corner. Events are also held here throughout the season, such as the Flower and Food Festival, the Summer Celebration, the Harvest Festival, the Great Pumpkin LumiNights, and of course, the Smoky Mountains Christmas.
Several concerts with live artists come and perform country, Southern gospel, Rock & Roll, and Appalachian music. Check out their website for current information regarding festival times. Young children and adults alike can enjoy the old steam railway known as the Dollywood Express that circles around the park. You can see artisans do glass blowing and blacksmithing within the park too. The park is full of rich heritage and artistry from the Smoky Mountains. You might want to take a day and visit Splash Country, which is an amazing water park within the 290-acre site.
