Visit one of the top zoos in America.
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is located in southwestern Colorado Springs. This family-friendly attraction features 13 different exhibits where guests can see exotic animals such as giraffes, lions, elephants, zebras, rhinos, emus, penguins, hippos, golden lion tamarins, and more. They also offer interactive giraffe, rhino, chicken, domestic goat, and bird feeding experiences for an extra fee. This zoo has incredible views since it is situated on a mountainside, and it is one of the few accredited non-profit zoos in the U.S.
This Colorado Zoo is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. The average amount of time it takes to see the entire zoo is about 2 to 3 hours, but the time you spend here depends on how fast or slow you want to go. Admission to the zoo lasts the entire day, so keep your receipt if you want to leave and come back. Please note that guest shuttles run from late spring through Labor Day (weather permitting), but guests of all ages can enjoy their time at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo any time of year.
