Take a moderate level hike to see multiple captivating waterfalls in the serene Tennessee wilderness.
You can find Burgess Falls State Park outside of Cookeville, Tennessee for a day of exploring everything it has to offer. You will have the chance to see four different waterfalls from the 1.2-mile roundtrip River Trail. The waterfalls only get bigger and more fascinating as you make your way along. The river that creates these waterfalls is called the Falling Water River.
Along River Trail you will first encounter Cascades Falls which is 20 feet in its height. Keep trekking along and you will soon see the 30-foot Upper Falls, then the 80-foot Middle Falls. The grand finale on this hike is Lower Falls-or Burgess Falls-pouring over 130 feet into a massive limestone gorge.
