Stop at one of the most iconic sites along the Kancamagus Highway.
The Albany Covered Bridge is a historic bridge located in the White Mountains near the Kancamagus Highway. This covered bridge was constructed in 1858 and spans 120 feet across the Swift River in central New Hampshire. After its renovation in the late 1900s, the Albany Covered Bridge became strong enough to support vehicular traffic. This is a popular place for landscape photography, especially during the fall.
If you're here in the spring and summer, don't be surprised to see people fishing, canoeing, or kayaking on the river. Locals and tourists alike love the historic Albany Covered Bridge. Be sure to stop here and soak in the gorgeous surrounding views of the Swift River and White Mountain National Forest while you drive along the Kancamagus Highway. Add this place to your New Hampshire road trip itinerary.
