Take a popular waterfall hike along the Kancamagus Highway.
Champney Falls is located in Conway, New Hampshire. This is a popular stop just off the Kancamagus Highway, and the trailhead also leads you to Pitcher Falls. Champney Falls is named after a local artist, and it is a 70-foot-long cascading waterfall that is especially impressive during the wet season. Be sure to take pictures at the base of the falls, then continue up the left side to reach the upper falls area.
This easy hike has a gradual slope, making it kid-friendly. It takes about two and a half hours for most hikers to go up to the falls and back. There is a $5 parking fee at the trailhead, and the trail is accessible year-round. Plan to arrive early in the morning if you're visiting during the peak tourist season because the parking lot tends to fill up quickly. If you're looking for a family-friendly hike in New Hampshire, don't hesitate to explore Champney Falls.
