See some of Alaska's marine animals up close.
The Alaska Sealife Center conducts research and rehabilitation for marine life. Here, native Alaskan animals are cared for until they are ready to be released into the wild. Since 1998, this center has served as an important place for educational programs for the public to learn more about marine life and its ecosystems. The Sealife Center is also an aquarium where guests can see sea lions, seals, waterfowl, and others up close and personal. There are activities such as ice skating and a discovery touch tank as well.
Feel free to take a tour and get a “behind the scenes” look at how the workers care for the animals. You may also feed the animals and join in during training sessions with the harbor seals. This center aims to rehabilitate marine animals and educate the public about Alaska’s ecosystems so they can know how to preserve them. This is a great way for visitors to learn and care for the land and its wildlife. Don’t miss out on this interactive aquarium in Seward, Alaska.
