The Western Heritage Center is an attraction in Billings, Montana. This center showcases over 17,000 different artifacts. Among the artifacts are over 6,000 pictures portraying the history of the people of the Yellowstone River. This center is now an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution and has exhibits featuring material from the Northern High Plains and Yellowstone River Valley.
There is a particular focus on the Cheyenne and Crow Native American tribes' histories at the Western Heritage Center, making it an ideal place to gain a deeper understanding of the Native Americans. There are also lectures, educational programs, historic walking tours, and workshops available here, providing an interactive learning environment for guests of all ages.
