View an incredible 750-foot long sandstone cliff featuring petroglyphs and pictographs.
For over 10,000 years, people have visited the Medicine Lodge Archaeological Site to see hundreds of prehistoric petroglyphs and pictographs. These ancient carvings are displayed on a 750-foot long sandstone cliff. This area is located in a state park in Wyoming on the western side of the Big Horn Mountains. The on-site visitor center is open from May 1st to October 30th annually.
Visitors can enjoy an extended stay at their tent or RV campgrounds. Camp here among the beautiful surroundings and mature cottonwood shade trees with your friends and family. Guests can also explore hundreds of miles of both non-motorized and multi-use trails. The streams are full of brown trout, so bring your fishing gear with you to catch some fresh fish for dinner. Visitors may also enjoy hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Be sure to only start fires in the provided fire rings while you camp.
