The Timberline Lodge and Ski Area is a great place for a getaway to enjoy some time on the slopes of Mount Hood. Mount Hood is a National Historic Landmark located Southeast of Portland, Oregon, making it one of the most popular places to visit in Oregon.
The lodge was built in 1937 on the Southern slope of Mt. Hood. This mountain stands at an elevation of 6,000 feet. You will notice when you arrive at the lodge, and the alpine landscape is perfect for skiing. The lodge itself has a rustic style to it that meshes with the landscape that surrounds it. There are two wings inside the lodge used for a dining room, guest room, and other facilities.
