Visit this iconic Oregon waterfall.
Multnomah Falls is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge area. Visitors can walk across the large bridge spanning the width of the falls. This is the highest waterfall in the Columbia River Gorge, and it also happens to be the second tallest waterfall in the United States. If you're into hiking, continue up the steep trail to the top of the falls. The Larch Mountain trail goes even further and is a very scenic 6-mile route that is ideal for backpacking. If you're here for a daytime activity, feel free to pack a picnic lunch. There are five picnic tables available for all guests. Keep in mind that there are no reservations for these picnic tables.
This waterfall is open daily year-round from 9 am to 6 pm. Multnomah Fall is situated right off of I-84 near exit 31. Amenities include bathrooms, a visitor's center, a snack bar, and a nearby restaurant. If you're traveling near Portland, Oregon, don't hesitate to visit this awe-inspiring waterfall before you go.
