The Sandbox Children's Museum

Visit this cute, interactive, and fun museum that is sure to get the wiggles out!

The Sandbox Children's Museum is located on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. This museum is full of hands-on, interactive play opportunities that are sure to please children that are about 8 years old and under. There are different centers throughout the museum such as a veterinary office with stuffed animals and all the necessary equipment to take care of them. They have a grocery store/café space, a book area, blocks and large legos for building, an aquarium, a wall-size light bright, and a wall-sized chalkboard. Some of the areas have dress-up clothes to help kids act the part as well. There is a pirate ship that guests can climb aboard, a spaceship, and a castle. The Sandbox Children's Museum also has a large above-ground sandbox, too. There is a model train track and a large race track for toy cars. They even have a special area for very young children to crawl through tubes and play with trucks, balls, and more! The museum has some fun activities outdoors, like the pool noodle maze and a pan musical wall to drum with large wooden spoons.

The Sandbox Children's Museum is open on Monday from 12 - 3 pm and 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm and 2 pm - 5 pm, Friday from 12 - 3 pm and 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm, Saturday from 10 am - 1 pm and 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm - 4 pm. Bring your children and watch or participate with them as they explore their creativity and discover more about their world!
