Visit the home of architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
Located in southwestern Wisconsin, just south of the Wisconsin River, Taliesin is a historical estate that offers tours to visitors. They have 12 different tours to cater to your needs, and online reservations are strongly recommended. This attraction is open daily from May 1 through October 31. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm. Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the greatest American architects, designed this home. Wright grew up in the area and took note of observations in nature as inspiration for his architectural style.
Taliesin has seen a few tragic fires, but Frank rebuilt the home every time. The estate sits on 800 acres of land and is preserved by a non-profit organization. Visitors can start at the Frank Lloyd Wright visitors center before their tour and work their way down. Points of interest include the historic home, Midway Barn, Tan-y-Deri and cottages, Romeo and Juliet windmill, Hillside school, and Unity Chapel.
